We Are
Primabake
Recyclable, Primabake baking papers are exclusively manufactured in France at PDL, Papeteries du Leman. The mill is located in the Spa town of Thonon-les-Bains on the beautiful shores of Lake Geneva with the Alps as a backdrop and Mont Blanc a mere stone’s throw away
A Century of Know-How
PDL, a manufacturer of specialty papers since 1921, is today known as the World reference in the industry. With revamped high-performance paper machines, dedicated sales and technical teams, and the development of innovative product lines, PDL is currently offering premium products most notably the Primabake range.
Thanks to its century-old know-how and its flexibility as an independent supplier, PDL is the ideal partner for the development of top-of-the-range products.
Technological Leadership
As a leader in technology, PDL puts a significant amount of its turnover back into Research & Development.
Reaching our goals to keep improving specialty papers, while maintaining an active policy of sustainable development, has made us integrate an ecological dimension from the very conception of our products.
Alone or in partnership with its clients and suppliers, PDL uses its expertise in R&D to:
– Develop end uses, specifically for markets where the company can use its assets to support innovation
– Carry out exploratory and fundamental research, based on an assessment of experimental equipment and disruptive technology that breaks with convention.
– Ensure its independence and guarantee competitivity due to privileged partnerships that secure supplies
– Promise lasting adaptability according to the situation at hand
Our capacity for innovation is driven by:
– Highly specialized manufacturing expertise
– An R&D department with the most advanced analysis and research tools available
– A panel of scientific and technological partners
– Attendance and involvement in the major conferences for the pulp and paper industry
– A willingness to guarantee continuous improvements in quality, such as with over 10M € investments done since 2021 and the additional 8M € already planned until 2026.
